Gateway Community Supports is a community based 1:1 program that supports persons with traumatic brain injuries, who are veterans or private cases that are looking for assistance in the community. Gateway Community Support works to assist the individual in finding natural supports, resources and activities in the community to empower them in social and community settings. Sessions could involve volunteering, equine and horticultural therapy, shopping, outings to the park, movies, lunch, museums and much more.
A program for individuals with brain injuries, providing the opportunity to engage in meaningful work and to develop skills needed to enter competitive employment.
Gateway Clubhouse relies in part on the generous donations of those committed to supporting people who struggle each day to overcome the devastating effects of their brain injuries.

The Clubhouse is structured around a work ordered day with “work” units that are designed to mirror the expectations and relationships of the workplace. If a member chooses to return to paid employment or seek volunteer work, the Clubhouse staff will offer guidance and support to assist in achieving these goals. Community social activities will also be planned based on member interests and recommendations.
The Clubhouse actively involves members in every aspect of day to day operations. Working together with highly-trained staff, members plan and implement Clubhouse activities as well as maintain the facility. With a focus on ability rather than disability, members are recognized for their contributions no matter how small or large. Survivors of brain injury are considered members –not clients or patients. They receive necessary support while still maintaining ownership over Clubhouse activities. This experience can improve their quality of life, skills, and overall independence. Gateway Clubhouse offers the following benefits to those with a brain injury and their families:
Gateway Clubhouse provides individuals living with the effects of a brain injury the opportunity to participate in satisfying, purposeful activities in a supportive community environment.
